ROMAFOT is a package for stellar photometry, in particular in crowded fields.

ROMAFOT carries out stellar photometry by fitting a sum of elementary PSF's,
analytically determined from selected stellar objects, to a two-dimensional
frame. The fitting function can be a gaussian or a moffet function. The sky
contribution is taken into account with an analytical plane, possible tilted.
This plane is fitted (simultaneously) with the stellar object. ROMAFOT does
not discriminate between stars and galaxies in the search phase but deletes
non stellar object in a later stage by checking the fit parameters.

ROMAFOT (ROMA FOTometry) is developed at the Osservatorio Astronomico di Roma.
